The Varna Aquarium is a public aquarium in Varna and its exhibition focuses on the Black Sea’s flora and fauna – that includes over 140 fish species, but also features freshwater fish, Mediterranean fish, exotic species from faraway areas of the World Ocean, mussels and algae.
The Royal Castle of Evksinograd is located at a distance of 3 kilometers south of St. St. Constantine and Helena Resort. The complex used to be a royal summer residence for the monarchs who ruled Bulgaria after the liberation of the country from the Ottoman Dominion (1878) – Alexander Battenberg, Ferdinand and Boris III.
The Stone Forest, also known as Pobiti Kamani is a desert-like rock phenomenon which is considered of the only desert in Bulgaria and one of few found in Europe. The natural attraction is consists of cylindrical stone columns fixed in a small desert.
The Wonderful Rocks are ten massive beautiful rock needles, 40-50 meters high, shaped like castle towers. They were formed by the effect of wind and water on limestone. The rocks had formed directly by the banks of Tsonevo dam, where they are steep and vertical. In the region are situated a lot of interesting caves, rock massifs and holes, some of which are inhabited by large rapacious birds.
The Zoo in Varna is situated in the Sea garden, near Russian Monument. The zoo was opened for visitors in 1961 and became a favorite place for adults and children. In 1962 the alleys were covered with tarmac and the zoo was electrified.

The Exotic Zoo in Varna was created in 1998 and is the most varied and unique exposing collection of terrarium animals in Bulgaria. It has a permanent exhibition of exotic animals – invertebrates, fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and small mammals.
Situated in the center of Varna, Semela Temple of Wine is a unique wine tasting cellar. It has been built over the ruins of one of the towers of the ancient Greek wall of old town Odesos. The walls of the wine tasting hall are remarkable from an archeological point of view – they form a part of an authentic fortress wall dating back to the 4th century BC.
