The Sea Garden is the Varna’s largest, oldest and best known public park, also said to be the largest landscaped park in the Balkans. Located along the city’s coast on the Black Sea, it is an important tourist attraction and a national monument of landscape architecture.
Nowadays the Marine Gardens form an impressive park where you can visit the Natural Science Museum, the Naval Museum, the Copernicus Astronomy Complex planetarium (the first in the country), the zoo and the Terrarium. Here you can find the only Dolphinarium and Aquarium in the country.
The park is the favourite place for recreation and fun of the citizens of Varna with the long walkways, the sea coast with the beach and numerous restaurants, offering seafood specialties, as well as attractive discos, bars and clubs. There are also a swimming pool, tennis court, an open-air theater and a children complex with a lot of amusements: water wheels, slide, archery, trampoline.
Just before the main alley of the garden is situated the “bridge of wishes”- a small bridge which is believed to fulfil wishes if you cross it walking backwards and with your eyes closed.
